The Jellyfish is a tier 6 Ocean animal in Mope.io, and is the equivalent of the Fox, Hedgehog, Peacock, Arctic Fox, Fennec Fox, and Raven. It was initially added on November 28, 2016.
Technical[]
- Upgrades from the Deer, Squid, Flamingo, Reindeer or Gazelle at 5K XP.
- Upgrade to the Zebra, Turtle, Muskox, Donkey or Warthog at 12K XP.
- It can consume any type of food in the game, excluding Arctic Nuts, Conches, Clams, Aloevera, Cacti, Coconuts and Bananas.
- Prey of the Jellyfish includes all animals within the range of tier 5 to tier 2 (Squid to Trout.
- Predators of the Jellyfish includes all animals within the range of tier 7 to tier 15 (Turtle to The Kraken).
- The Jellyfish has no Special Abilities.
- The Passive Ability of the Jellyfish is Tentacle Sting; whenever an animal within the range of tier 1 to tier 6 (and certain AI Animals) is near the tentacles of the Jellyfish, it will be stung, causing momentary stunning and reduced health to the creature that is affected. When prey of the Jellyfish is inflicted by the "Tentacle Sting", it will also lose XP.
- It turns slower than all other animals in the game.
- The Jellyfish can use any time of hiding spot other than small holes.
Appearance[]
At full size, the Jellyfish and its skins can grow extremely large; up to the size of a newly-upgraded tier 15 animal.
Jellyfish (S2)[]
The "Season 2" Jellyfish design, which is the default skin for the Jellyfish, has a pink body with 8 darker pink tentacles; 6 of them are long and 2 are shorter. The "Season 2" design's large black circular eyes have a white pupil, and behind its tentacles there is a triangular area of the Jellyfish's flesh.
Disco Jellyfish[]
The Disco Jellyfish, being the 2022 Summer skin, has the same base design as the "Season 2" Jellyfish, except its body is a combination of purple and blue rather than pink. As the name implies, the Disco Jellyfish looks like a disco ball; its purple head has tiles and sparkles, as do its tentacles.
Seafoam Jellyfish[]
The Seafoam Jellyfish, which is the 2021 Summer skin, is a light blue with foamy tentacles. There are blue spots on the side of its body and its eyes are dark blue.
Gold Trim[]
The Gold Trim Jellyfish is almost identical in appearance to the Jellyfish; however, it differs through its golden tentacles.
Old (#GoldenAge)[]
The "#GoldenAge" era Jellyfish skin is light pink, with large, beady black eyes and six pink tentacles. It is slightly transparent on the outer edges. It has nine magenta dots, too, giving it a unique appearance when compared to the plainer Kraken.
Classic Skin[]
The Classic Jellyfish is a small, light pink animal with tiny tentacles protruding out of its rear end. Its eyes are big and curious.
Winter Skin[]
The Winter Skin, aside from being green and having a Santa hat on its side, is identical to the Classic Jellyfish.
Strategy[]
- The fastest way for a Jellyfish to proceed to the next tier is to farm food sources.
- Namely, consuming Kelp in the Ocean. Kelp is abundant in the Ocean, though can become a little sparse in crowded servers.
- The player can also go to one of the rivers and eat red mushrooms. They are just as good as normal Kelp, but aren't worth the extra effort of searching for unless the player happens to be close to a river.
- Prey is not worth hunting at this tier when food sources not only are easier to eat, but also will provide more XP.
- In the rare scenario that any form of prey bites the player's tail, it will be stung by the Jellyfish's tentacles! A slight bit of health will be taken, as well as stunning being caused. Use the opportunity to damage and eat the tail-biter for the sake of gaining XP.
- Predators will most likely not be a prominent threat as Jellyfish, as most players can quickly level up from Jellyfish in a matter of seconds. However, should a predator attempt to eat the player, they should hide in a whirlpool and wait the predator out. The Jellyfish has a relatively short diving time, so diving is not a reliable method of escape for long.

Trivia[]
- The Jellyfish is the only non-rare mid-tier animal that can become about as large as a King Crab or The Kraken.
- It is also the only medium tier animal that does not have a special ability.
- Pike once stated on the Subreddit that the assets for the Classic Jellyfish's tentacles are also used as the Mouse's tail.
- In real life, jellyfishes do not have eyes.
- Prior to May 13, 2017, the Jellyfish could sting Black Dragons, allowing Jellyfish to kill Black Dragons in one fell swoop. Due to severe imbalance as a tier 6 animal, the Jellyfish's tentacle stun now only has effect on prey.
