The Fox is a tier 6 Land animal in Mope.io, and the equivalent of the Hedgehog, Peacock, Jellyfish, Arctic Fox and Fennec Fox. It was one of the first three animals to be added when the game was first officially released on October 6, 2016.
Technical[]
- Upgrades from the Deer, Squid, Flamingo, Reindeer or Gazelle at 5K XP.
- Upgrades to the Zebra, Turtle, Donkey, Muskox or Warthog at 12K XP.
- It can consume all food sources in the game excluding Arctic Nuts, Conches, Clams, Aloevera, Cacti, Coconuts and Bananas. Prey of the Fox includes all animals within the range of tier 2 to tier 5 (Rabbit to Deer).
- Predators of the Fox includes all animals within the range of tier 7 to tier 15 (Zebra to Dragon)
- The Special Ability of the Fox is to Pull Animals From Hiding Holes. By pressing
Wwhile inside a Hiding Hole of any size or Whirlpool, the Fox will cause all animals within the range of tier 1 to tier 11 (Mouse to Crocodile) to be ejected from the Hole, and become stunned temporarily.

Gold Trim[]
The Gold Trim Fox has the appearance of thicker fur and bigger ears that point up. It has a gold tail as well as gold ear fur and a marking on its back, gold eyebrows and a gold underbelly.
Thief of The Night[]
The Thief of The Night is ash gray with a lighter head. The inside of the ears is white, and it has white lines along its snout up to the narrowed eyes. It has no underside. Its tail is a shade darker than the rest of the body with no white tip and instead having a white question mark.
Black Asura Fox[]
The Black Asura Fox is a very dark maroon, almost black in color. The edges of its body are darker and the fur is arced like flames. Its head is large, with sizable slightly rounded ears. Unlike other skins, the Black Asura Fox has 6 eyes: a bared main pair like normal and 2 smaller eyes to the side. All eyes have red pupils. 2 thin red flames drift backwards from behind the ears. Its tail is a slightly longer portrusion of fur.
Fox (#GoldenAge)[]
The Fox has a more bushy tail and a head separated from the body, as well as a more robust head. It has dark orange body fur, and tufts of fur that stick out. Its appearance is much like that of its cousins, the Fennec Fox and Arctic Fox, aside from its fur color.
Classic Fox[]
The Old version of the Fox is an orange circle with two large lighter triangles for ears. There's a small triangle jutting into the ears on two corners. Its snout is a triangle with a black circle for a nose. The pupils face downwards instead of upwards unlike all the other old skins, and its tail is an average-sized oval.
Strategy[]
- As a Fox, the most efficient way of leveling up is to eat Red mushrooms and Pears, or to go to the Volcano, and consuming Watermelon slices. Spitting at whole Watermelons by pressing
Swill produce slices.- Eating Kelp in the Ocean is another alternative to level up fast. However, this method a little more risky, as the Fox can't swim well. Avoid Ocean predators such as the Turtle if the player levels up there. Alternatively, eating Starfishes on the beach near the Ocean can be done.
- Trying to catch and kill prey will be a lot more time-consuming at tier 6, as farming food is a lot easier. However, if the player does decide to do this, they should target Deer due to them being the best XP-providers, and having similar capabilities to the Fox (slow in mud and water). The player should use their Pull From Hole ability to kick prey out of hiding holes/whirlpools if they enter them.
- If the player is being chased by a predator, hide in the nearest hole. If the predator goes in, the player can use their ability and run while the predator is stunned.
- The Pull From Hole ability can also be utilized to troll other players; camp in a large hiding hole and kick other players out to their doom.
- Simply wait until an animal that can fit in your hiding hole is going in to hide from a predator. When they go in, kick them out. If the predator went in they will also be kicked out, and if they didn’t the prey will most likely barrel into them. Either way, the prey will be right back in danger of dying.
- The Pull From Hole ability can also be utilized to troll other players; camp in a large hiding hole and kick other players out to their doom.

Criticism[]
In the earlier period of the Fox's release, it was extremely disliked for being able to kick out any animal from hiding holes, regardless of tier. This meant that when teaming with a high tier such as the Black Dragon, its prey would be unable to hide and be more easily killed. To balance this, in later updates, the Fox's ability was limited to affecting only animals from tier 11 and below.

- The Fox has existed since the game was first released.
- It is one of the 7 orange animals in Mope.io. The others are the Octopus, Shrimp, Tiger, Meerkat, Gazelle, and Phoenix.
- The Arctic Fox is the white, almost identical Arctic-residing counterpart of the Fox (due to this, the Fox may also sometimes be referred to as the "Land Fox"). The Rabbit, Bear, Duck, and Cheetah also have counterparts with these traits.
