Not to be confused with: Arctic Hare

"UPGRADED to RABBIT!
Press W to burrow a hole to hide in!
"

The Rabbit is a tier 2 Land animal in Mope.io, and the equivalent of the TroutArctic Hare and Desert Chipmunk. It was introduced on October 6, 2016.

Technical[]

Appearance[]

When first upgraded, the Rabbit is very small, and even advanced Mice are larger than a fresh upgraded Rabbit.

Rabbit (S2)[]

The ultra-high-definition "Season 2" era Rabbit skin, which is the default skin as of now, has more ruffled and noticeable fur in contrast to its predecessor. It has the lighter brown fur, but its tail is slightly larger and fluffier, as are its ears. The ultra-high-definition Rabbit has smaller black eyes, and a small nose.

Gold Trim[]

The Gold Trim Rabbit has gold ears, a gold nose and a gold tail, but apart from that is identical to the "#GoldenAge" era Rabbit skin. It has the same Gold Trim body parts as the Arctic Hare, too.

Monochrome Rabbit[]

The Monochrome Rabbit looks exactly like the Rabbit; however, its whole appearance besides its eyes are gray, like a monochrome photograph.

Fairy Rabbit[]

TBA.

Carrot Rabbit[]

The Carrot Rabbit is the 2021 Halloween skin for the Rabbit. It is a bit more plump; has a flatter snout, wider ears, and eyes that are farther apart. The Carrot Rabbit appears to have a carrot suit that exposes its ears, face, and tail. The carrot suit itself is carrot-like, complete with the stalk/leaves of a carrot shown on top of the head. There is also a small drop of liquid near the left ear.

Jolly Rabbit[]

TBA.

Rabbit (#GoldenAge)[]

The high-definition "#GoldenAge" skin of the Rabbit is light brown in color, with a small, fluffy white tail. You can see its fur is slightly ruffled. It has a narrow face, and long, slender ears.

Classic Rabbit[]

The Classic skin Rabbit is more circular than the high-definition Rabbit and in contrast has no visible fur, but has the same colored body. Its ears are simple ovals that are a darker brown than the Rabbit's body. Underneath its ears, the Rabbit has two large eyes with a small white pupil, and a just as small nose underneath its eyes.

Strategy[]

  • While playing as the Rabbit, the player should farm in order to proceed to the next tier. At tier 2, hunting prey will be a waste of time as consuming food will be quicker.
    • The easiest way to level up is to go to a mud patch and consume carrots. Rabbits are fast in mud and can create hiding holes their by pressing W, so it is safe from predators.
      • Moreover, any prey such as Mice or other tier 1 animals that the player can see in mud should be eaten if possible, as no tier 1 animals can move fast in mud and will be slow in it.
    • Additionally, press S and direct water towards a Brown Mushroom 4 times to produce berries, which are substantial sources of XP.
    • Alternatively, the player can use Healing Stones to level up, as they not only heal one's Health Bar but also provide XP. However, noting their rarity, the player should not search endlessly for them.
    • If the player is near the Arctic biome and can see an AI Lemming that has wandered out of the biome, chase after it to instantly level up (Lemmings are high in XP for low tiers). The player can eat Lemmings in the Land biome as a strategy for the next three tiers as well.
  • As Rabbits are a second tier animal, the player will be small, giving the player quick escapes from predators through hills. However, still do not be overconfident around low-tier predators as they can still attempt to kill the player.
    • Always stay out of Oceans and lakes, as Rabbits will become slow and cannot activate the Dig Hole ability there either.
    • The player should use their ability if they are far enough from the predator, due to digging a hole taking a few precious seconds, and in that time, the predator could catch up to the player.
    • For this reason, try to dig a hole in mud, where a predator is usually slower unless they are an animal that moves fast in mud
    • Note that Foxes and Arctic Foxes have the ability to pull the player out of hiding holes. If that happens, run to Mud due to both Foxes being slow in it.

Trivia[]

  • The Rabbit, Arctic Hare and Tiger are among the first animals able to create terrain forms with their Abilities.
  • It is one of the only 9 animals that can't be tail-bitten (tier 1 and tier 2 animals, and the Crab, don't have tails).
  • The Rabbit has the same ability as the Arctic Hare, and is practically identical to it in most aspects, other than experiencing debuff in the Arctic (and vice versa for the Arctic Hare), and the Rabbit's default skin being light brown instead of white.
    • The Winter Skin of the Classic Rabbit essentially was identical to the Classic Arctic Hare, aside from the brown sash. However, if the Winter Skins were not added before the introduction of the Arctic biome, the Classic Rabbit's Winter skin would probably not have been white to avoid confusion.
