Hold W to dig underground!
Go under anything, do surprise attacks!"
The Mole is a tier 3 Land animal in Mope.io, and the equivalent of the Chicken, Crab, Meerkat and Penguin. It was first released on October 26, 2016. A possible species or a skin of the Mole, the Toxic Moleworm, is planned to be released at an unknown date as part of the series of "Season 2" era updates.[1]

While being used, a muddy path similar to the one that appears from the Meerkat's Special Ability appears in the Mole's wake. The air bar of the Mole when digging is longer than its air bar when diving underwater. - The Mole has no Passive Abilities.
Toxic Moleworm[]
- The Toxic Moleworm is an unreleased variant of the Mole, seen in a video from KOA's YouTube channel.[1] The title of the video indicated that it will be released in the near future in a "Season 2" era update. As of the "Season 2" update's actual release on February 1, 2022, it is yet to be released in-game.
- Its capabilities are unknown, but it was seen to also have the Special Ability of digging underground, also being able to eat the same foods as the regular Mole.
Appearance[]
Mole (S2)[]
The "Season 2" Mole has a darker gray furry body, with a short tail and paws, both of which consist of bright pink skin. The "Season 2" Mole's nose is long and triangular, ending with a pink set of nostrils, and its two paws have four claws.
Gold Trim[]
The Gold Trim Mole is identical to the "#GoldenAge" era Mole, except that it all of its pink parts (its nose, paws and tail) are gold instead.
Zombie Mole[]
The Zombie Mole[note 1] is dull green with shaggier fur. Its head and the end of its snout is wrapped up in bandages, with a few more strands of it on the body and left arm. Its nose, tail, and paws are pink. The nose has fleshy bits on it, and its paws have claws. The underside of its body is darker. The Zombie Mole has a normal eye and an eyesocket leaking bright green slime. Its tail is ringed, and it has darker stains on its head.
Cyberkinetic Mole[]
TBA.
Toxic Moleworm[]
The Toxic Moleworm's body is dark magenta-red, with eyes bared. Exponentially, the appearance is identical to the Mole, besides the fact that the whole body, including snout, paws, and tail is dark magenta-red.
Mole (#GoldenAge)[]
The "#GoldenAge" era Mole is a dark shade of gray, with a bright pink nose and slightly darker pink paws; on that note, it also the first animal in the game to have its paws visible. The Mole also has a long thin pink tail, two small holes for eardrums, and a fold behind its head.
Classic Mole[]
The Classic Mole has a circular dark gray body, with a large triangular nose that ends with a small circular pink nose, two paws, two black eyes, and an semi-circular oval-like tail.
Oldest[]
The oldest Mole skin, which will appear in-game for players with the No animal images
setting activated, is a dark gray circle with a dark pink nose, two darker red hands on either side of its nose, two black eyes with a white pupil, and a small triangular tail.
Strategy[]
As a Mole[]
- Due to the Mole being a low-tier animal, the most efficient way of proceeding to tier 4 is to consume food sources.
- One way of doing this is to farm berries by pressing
S
on to brown Mushrooms, causing them to burst into multiple berries. Brown mushrooms are easy to find, making this a reliable method. - Eating Honeycomb from a Beehive is another consistent way of gaining XP. By pushing on a Beehive, Honeycomb will gradually produce.
- However, be wary that large numbers of bees are capable of killing a Mole or any low tier animal, so a better way of farming honeycomb is eating them from the midst of a larger predator that is too high on the food chain to eat you.
- One way of doing this is to farm berries by pressing
- Use the Dig ability to sneakily move around underground. This is an advantage that no animal other than the Meerkat has.
- The player can surprise prey by going underneath a hill or Berry Bush and popping out to damage them when the time is opportune. Alternatively, the player can hide from predators underground, digging under hills and rocks to evade them.
- Also, dig underneath predators; bite their tail by emerging right underneath it. This should only be done on a full Health Bar, as the Mole can be eaten by most predators in 3 hits, making an attempt with any lower than full health risky.
- In the same way that Healing Stones can be used by animals that are diving, the player should further take advantage of the Dig ability and use Healing Stones whilst digging. Doing so will be convenient against predators if the player's water bar is low.

Trivia[]
- The Mole is the only low-tier animal that once had Apex-like features (high on the food chain, able to bite the tails of other Moles etc.).
- It and the Meerkat are the only animals that can dig underground.
- The Toxic Moleworm was teased on KOA's YouTube channel 8 months before its expected release. Although it is presumed to be a rare animal, the Toxic Moleworm did not exhibit any features different to the normal Mole in the video.[1]
Glitches[]
- For a few days, the Mole was able to zoom underneath the earth faster than normal in a straight direction for as long as its ability lasted or until it ran into water.

Notes[]
- ā 1.0 1.1 Despite its name, the 'Zombie Mole' skin that originated from the Store is different from the zombie Mole skin from the Zombie Infection game mode. The latter, unlike the former, is not Store-bought and will be applied in-game without the player's choice if they are infected when playing Zombie Infection.
