UPGRADED to Polar Bear!
Polar bears can climb hills + They're amazing swimmers!

The Polar Bear is the 11th Arctic animal in Mope.io, and is equivalent to the CrocodileLion, FalconOctopus, Vulture, and Turkey.

Technical[]

Appearance[]

The Polar Bear features a white circular body with a small, slightly stubby gray tail. Its head fur is a brighter white than the rest of its body, and the Polar Bear's eyes are rather large. The Polar Bear has a black button nose, and its fur is slightly tufted in some spots. In short, it is a white variation of the Bear.

Gold Trim[]

The Gold Trim version takes the same size and shape of the regular Polar Bear except its back is a shade of grey and the fur on its forehead is gold. Its eyes look fiercer and on the cheeks, the fur sticks out.

Cola Connoisseur[]

The Cola Connoisseur is white. It has a beige straw hat and a blue outfit. It holds a glass soda bottle with a dull blue wrap in its mouth. The bottle is full of a brown liquid(which is likely soda). 3 bubbles come out of the bottle's neck.

Old/Legacy[]

The Classic version is a light grey circular body with a stubby darker grey tail at the end. Its ears are just two grey arcs on either side of its forehead and its eyes are slightly more to the side than the current one. At the very tip of its face, there is a small black dot, representing its nose. The winter skin changes its nose to red and it is wearing a green and red festive hat.

Strategy[]

  • The player should use their climbing ability and speed in water to close the gap between prey and run from predators.
  • One hunting technique is to slash prey into a rock to corner them. Note that this will not work on rock-climbing animals.
  • Wolves are the player's best bet for easy XP. Climb hills to overtake Wolves in spots where they will be disadvantaged due to less moving space. The player's speed in water can be used to cut corners. However, the Wolf can howl to stun the player for lengthy bouts of time, so the player should attempt to avoid the gray stunning circle their ability creates. Despite being slow, it is large and easy to walk into.
    • Although Walruses grant the most XP, they have identical movement options to the Polar Bear and are actually superior since they can climb rocks the player can't. Slashing at them while they're on a rock may propel them off.
  • Simply eating Arctic Nuts from bushes and watered snowballs and Mushroom Bushes should be enough to level up the player in less than 10 minutes.
  • Sabertooth Tigers are very dangerous, since they have an upgraded slash ability and the same movement options as the Polar Bear. Many Sabertooths duck farm in lakes, so staying far away from lakes may help in avoiding some.
  • The player doesn't need to worry too much about Mammoths and Wolverines because neither climb. The Wolverine's growl is actually fairly deadly, so the player should keep away.
    • A risky strategy to tail-bite the above predators, using hills for safety. Slashing after biting can keep the player's target stunned long enough to climb away. This strategy can be combined with hunting and farming to level up rapidly. Other predators can be tried as long as they can't climb hills - the Polar Bear is no match to thosr that do.

Trivia[]

  • Even though it is like the Bear, it is one tier higher. Similarly, Snow Leopard is higher than Cheetah.
  • It used to upgrade to the Wolf but on January 1, 2017, it was moved to be the equivalent of the Cheetah.
  • It looks almost exactly like the old winter skin of the Bear, but without a scarf.
  • All of its skins are recolored versions of the bears skins(excluding winter skin).
